Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2019

The 8th Hue Traditional Craft Festival will take place in Hue City from April 26th to May 2nd, 2019 under the theme “Quintessence of Vietnamese Crafts” – “Tinh hoa nghề Việt”.

Hue is well-known for its diversity of festivals. One of which is Hue Festival often confused with Festival Hue. They are both important festivals held in Hue, but they do have their own particular features. Whereas Festival Hue is Vietnam’s biggest celebration of culture and tourism, including all amusing sessions such as dancing, traditional activities like kite-flying, arts and calligraphy exhibitions, Hue Festival is another popular cultural event with the aim of honoring cultural and historical values of the city’s former glory.

This fabulous cultural-economic event is aimed to extol the core values of heritages, to boost the production and efficiency of traditional crafts. It is also expected to promote partnership and investment cooperation in all aspects, in an attempt to improve socio-economic growth via linkages between handicraft production and tourism to extend the outreach of domestic and international markets.
