Thuan An Bridge – Central Vietnam’s Longest Sea-Crossing Bridge

On April 30, 2026, the Thuận An sea-crossing bridge officially opened for technical traffic! After more than 120 years since the historic 1904 flood, the gap between Thuận An and Hải Dương has finally been bridged.

The coastal road project passing through Hue City and the bridge across Thuan An estuary has a total first-phase investment of over 2.4 trillion VND, with construction having commenced in March 2022. The entire route spans more than 7.7km, featuring a bridge section approximately 2.36km long, which is considered the longest sea-crossing bridge in Central Vietnam.

This bridge not only connects the two shores but also serves as a vital lever for Hue’s future breakthrough development

The project is expected to complete the coastal transport infrastructure, enhance regional connectivity in Central Vietnam, and expand the urban development space of Hue City.
