Azerai La Residence reopened in Hue, Vietnam

The historic La Residence in Hue, Vietnam has celebrated its official reopening this month as the second hotel under the Azerai brand. The first hotel under the new brand, the 60-room Azerai Can Tho, opened on the Mekong Delta last spring.

The reopening of Azerai La Residence Hue follows an extensive renovation since the last completed overhaul of this 1930’s-built mansion thirteen years ago.

Set on a two and a half-hectare site with 200-metres of unparalleled views of the fabled Perfume River, the property has 122 rooms and suites. The design affirms Azerai’s devotion to simplicity and elegance and reconfirms the brand’s commitment to affordable luxury. The mansion’s distinctive façade, its long horizontal lines and nautical flourishes are hallmarks of the streamline modern school of art deco architecture.
Its two complementary wings, built in 2005, are contemporary in design yet echo elements of art deco aesthetics and embrace an expansive tropical garden and salt-water swimming pool.

Azerai is a hotel brand founded by Adrian Zecha, the father of Aman Resorts, the most luxurious resort chain in the world.

The old mansion has turned the page to the next chapter of history as of Feb. 19, 2019. As Azerai La Residence, Hue, we are setting a new height of simplicity, elegance, and luxury and taking on a new journey to fulfill the venue’s historic and hospitable mission.
