COLOURFUL CENTRAL VIETNAM

Day 1: Arrival Da Nang - Hoi An (L, D)
|
Pick-up
at Da Nang International Airport or hotel in Da Nang. Visit the open-air
Cham Museum housing the world's best collection of Cham Art. Make a
short drive to the riverside town of Hoi An just south of Da Nang. En
route, visit the Marble Mountains and stone carving village at Non Nuoc.
Upon arrival in Hoi An, take a walking tour of this ancient trading
port. A visit to traditional Chinese Communal House, Hoi Kien Temple,
ancient merchants' houses, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, a
silk making business, and the colourful local market. Optional visit to
a Chinese herbal medicine physician. Overnight in Hoi An
Day 2: Hoi An - My Son Holy Land -
Lang Co Beach (B, L, D)

In
the morning, drive to My Son Holy Land, visit to the extraordinary Cham
ruins in a remote jungle valley. My Son was formerly the centre of the
Cham Kingdom and has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Over
20 well-preserved monuments remain. In the afternoon, transfer to Lang
Co Beach. En route, stopping along the way at Hai Van Pass to enjoy a
spectacular view of the East Sea. Overnight in Lang Co.
Day 3: Lang Co Beach - Bach Ma
National Park - Hue (B, L, D)

Drive
north from Lang Co to Bach Ma National Park. Stop near the summit of a
small mountain; continue on foot along the remaining 3 km to the summit.
Enjoy a panoramic view, and then continue hiking along a small trail to
the Five Lake area. In the afternoon, walk to the Do Quyen waterfalls
before drive to Hue. After dinner, enjoy artistic performances inside
the Royal Citadel. Overnight in Hue
Day 4: Hue City Tour (B, L, D)
|
After
breakfast, take a boat cruise through the centre of Hue on the romantic
Perfume River. Visit the seven-storey Thien Mu Pagoda along the
riverbank, and then drive to the Imperial Citadel nearby. A short visit
to France-Vietnam Painting and Photography Exhibition. Lunch. Afternoon
visit Tu Duc Tomb. A continuation to enjoy artistic programmes
taking place around Hue City such as Festival at Nam Giao Temple,
Calligraphic Exhibition, Folk Playground, Kite Festival and so on. After
dinner, enjoy artistic performances outside the Royal Citadel. Overnight
in Hue.

Day 5: Hue - Departure (B)
|
|
The
morning is free for rest, or to explore the city. Transfer to Phu
Bai Airport or Hue Railways Station in Hue for your departure. End
